"Giving problems" isnt really what youd expect from a champion. I hope he isnt in the frame of mind of going over there and last longer than people expect him to. The statement didnt sound too confident but maybe he sees his style as a difficulty for a stylist like Broner to look good against.

If he shows the same grit and passion as he did when winning the title then we have a good fight on our hands. He just needs to be mindful he isnt fighting a limited Peurto Rican this time so finding the target will be alot harder.

Your comments are rather disrespecful dude. Burns is a gentleman, he always has alot of respect for all of his opponents and doesn't do the trash talk thing. So I wouldn't read anything into the "giving problems". He'll come to fight. Ricky obvioulsy has little power but he is always in prime shape for 12 so Ricky has to still be in there after the first 3-4 rounds before it will become a fight. I don't think he'll have enough to beat Broner but I've only had limited viewing of him. I did think Broner looked slightly bulky in terms of muscle mass, only done 10 and 8 rounds before. So thats probably where Ricky sees his advantages, down the home straight.

The 'giving problems' comment was just a play on words because of Broner's nickname. Don't read too much in to it.

Oh Okay. My bad Didnt realise Broner had a nickname.

@Fishscotland, - I have alot of respect for Burns. The way he ripped the title from Martinez was impressive and I like the fact that he isnt settling for small hall show defences against bums in Scotalnd. He is taking a risk and going to the States which is something that took Calzaghe and Hatton many years to do. I wish Burns well. I just would have preferred him to go for Fana instead and win the ring title because this scenario seems like Frank Warren is cashing him in already.

I'm glad you pointed this out, because the first thing I thought when I read it was, "that doesn't exactly scream confidence".

I didn't even think about the nickname.

Ironically Burns, you have just about as much of a chance of beating Broner as Ortiz does beating Mayweather.. which is slim too none...
