    A venue and location has finally been set. The clash between Juan Carlos Salgado, the former super featherweight champion of the World Boxing Association (WBA), and Argenis Mendez of the Dominican Republic, is going to happen at the Olympic Coliseum in Guadalajara on September 10. The vacant IBF super featherweight title will be at stake. Salgado has a record of 23 wins, 16 knockouts, one loss and one draw, while Mendez has a record of 18 wins, 9 by the knockout and one loss.

      This is going to be an interesting affair. We shall see if salgado is more than a one hit wonder. Or if mendez is the truth.

        Looking forward to this. Uchiyama did well against Solgado and got him out of there. It was one of the better performances in a weak division and one in which the top guys haven't proven much.

        Mendez seems a decent prospect. He didn't impress me too much in the Honorio fight though
