What if Vic and his brother were paid a surprise visit by their mom and dad...

It's a long shot, but it would be a hell of an ending if his parents paid them a surprise visit at the gym in the last episode of 24/7, and Vic vowed to dedicate the fight and a win in their honor.

    What an ending.

Don't think there'll be a dry eye in any home if that were to happen.

    Make it happen HBO.

His comments indicate they would never have that type of relationship. And I don't blame him.

That may be true. But I would venture to guess they have longed to be reunited with their biological mom and dad than not.

I'd tell both to go **** themselves. Real parents raise their kids and don't abandon them. I'd look at both of them, spit on their shoes, and walk away.

I'm sure Vic holds a grudge about it, and maybe his brother too. But we don't really know the extent of forgiveness in their hearts.

I disagree. I think that might mentally **** Ortiz up.

No doubt most kids would react that way. Their parents may have a legit reason (excuse) that their circumstances were beyond their control and just walked away from their duties as parents.

Remember, we don't know the whole story. Just a bit about how their parents walked away and left them.

When HBO went to Kansas to film promotional material for the Maidana-Ortiz fight, the Ortiz' daddy actually showed up and was interviewed for a couple of seconds.
