His former trainer, Floyd Mayweather Sr., was quoted in several published interviews telling reporters that he was informed that De La Hoya was considering a possible ring return. Mayweather Sr. voiced his interest in training De La Hoya for the comeback, but the fighter turned promoter has no interest in returning.

I'm guessing it would be a fixed fight against his Saul Alvarez in order to try propel him into a PPV superstar, as Pac and Mayweather became after beating Oscar. Golden Boy are running low on big PPV attractions, Alvarez and Khan are the best they have
