berto better learn how to box or zavec is going to have him figured out in the first round.
berto lost to ortiz because he entered a slugfest trap that ortiz prepared.
tony morgan was constantly telling him to box, jab. if you watch the 7th he put ortizin a lot of trouble when he started boxing.
what i'm a bit worried about is zavec's chin. i don't think he has faced the kind of opponent like berto before.

I agree,Zaveck has never faced a guy who can punch like Berto...But if he boxes well, and give Berto a few rds to punch himself out..I'm pretty sure by the 4th or 5th Berto will be gassed(even with ****ie)..I hope he plans to work that body, that's something Ortiz did not do and a big reason why Berto heard the final bell...

Are you sure you watched the fight? Ortiz did work the body. I am pretty sure Ortiz landed 80-100 punches just to the body

berto and ortiz traded some vicious shots there that dropped both, tbh i can't remember zavec taking such shots in the last 3 years. perhap's that's what makes him world class, he can anticipate shots which makes them less harmful.
also body shots would leave zavec exposed, he's not as fast as berto and would be caught trading, something he should avoid.
zavec's deadliest weapon is a powerful right hook to the upper head. and unlike other boxers he doesn't telegraph that punch, thats how he staggered hlatswayo and put other boxers in trouble too.
i think he should do a combination of pressure and boxing to wear berto down. in the late ortiz rounds berto fought like a 40 year old with no legs! i hope zavec is taking notice.

I agree with ya post, but I'm not saying put full focus there..But I'm saying don't neglect it either..Body punches out of nowhere are very underrated, they take a lot out of an opponent esp in the later rds...

Zaveck is definitely underrated, i wouldn't be too shocked if he out boxed Berto for a UD. Like others on here though I'm not convinced that Zaveck has faced a really big puncher like Berto before so it will be a very interesting fight.

DiBella must have lost his confidence with Berto, if he thinks that Zaveck is a stern test.
