Chris Meyer, General Manager of Sauerland Event, informed BoxingScene.com that the highly anticipated unification bout between WBO cruiserweight champion Marco Huck, and WBC titleholder Krzysztof Wlodarczyk ,won't take place on Oct 22, 2011. Sauerland is now in discussions with several alternative opponents who are ranked under the WBO at cruiserweight. On Friday, Meyer held a meeting in Erfurt, Germany with top-rated crusierweight contender with Denis Lebedev and his manager Vlad Hrunov.

I regard Lebedev as the real WBO champ anyway at 200, but props to Huck if he does go ahead and fight someone who clearly beat him already.
