All I can say is that even I, whose obsession is reading....anything, had to stop about half way through. The repetitions and self aggrandizement were just too much for me. Teddy is always interesting, although he doesn't have to repeat everything 3-4 times, as well as murder the language. I've head all this before anyway in the past week or so,....several times.

What I REALLY wanted to know, and what was totally ABSENT in all the blah-blah, was what happened, since Teddy had really laid it on heavily about how he was tied to the States by his contract with ESPN and therefore could NOT train Povetkin. All fine and dandy,

YET, we find that he was, all of a sudden, free to decide for himself-where he hadn't been before- that he could just get on a plane-as he says- and come over to Europe to train his fighter. And this was caused, he says, just by hearing that Povetkin said that "Teddy Atlas is my trainer".....??.....??

What I WANT TO KNOW is.....What did ESPN have to say to all this........??.......?? Teddy doesn't mention that he made an arrangement with ESPN or asked them for leave of absence..... or say he just told them he was going, or anything that would normally follow in a situation like this.

SOOooooo.....forgetting all about the usual boxing "cliched questions and answers"....

    What happened??

Friday Night Fights has wound down for the year. And being away for 3 weeks is more acceptable to ESPN than being away for 2 months.

Just to hear Teddy talk you can tell that he cares a lot about this kid. It's too bad that the idiot Germans or Russians who are running things for Povetkin can't tell their a.ss from their elbow.

I never liked Atlas.. and this made me dislike him even more.. damn he is sooo annoying and always so negative, and his pre-fight predictions suck as he's wrong most of the time.

That's almost right, except that it's not. Atlas is being ****ed with by Kalle Sauerland, who hates him and wants him out. Teddy called Kalle a "punk" and various other things earlier this year. Kalle would rather see Povetkin lose to Chagaev (as looks likely, especially with a 3-week camp), and then see Povetkin cut Teddy loose, than see him win.

I didn't know that. It makes perfect sense now, Sauerland is trying to undermine that relationship.

That guy is a little douchebag.
