Former WBO heavyweight champion Shannon Briggs (51-6-1, 45KOs), 39, is planning another comeback. The heavyweight has retained a new promoter, Gary Jones, and plans to return in December or January. Briggs has been away from the ring after taking a terrible beating at the hands of WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko last October. Briggs was able to last the full twelve round distance, but he suffered numerous injuries and spent several days in the hospital.
