Is the winner of Froch-Ward the frontrunner for the Fighter of the Year award?

because even if all of the Big Four win their fights, they would have beaten:

Ortiz, who is good, but it'll be his lone fight this year (Floyd)
Dzinziruk, who's also good, but along with Barker who isn't a P4P caliber opponent (Martinez)
Montiel, who's terrific, but facing a Barker-like opposition (Donaire)
and Marquez, who's at an unfamiliar weight, and a shot Mosley (Pac)

edit: SCtrojans brought up Hopkins, whose Pascal win definitely edges the victories over Abraham and Johnson of of the Super Six finalists

I don't know. Last year at this point I thought we wouldn't see a definitive FoTY until Martinez sealed the deal with his KO of Williams.

I think it's gotta be Hopkins. Which would be his second Fighter of the Year award, I believe?

But even then, Martinez already had a big win over Pavlik, so he was one of the guys to look out for in the FoTY race.

The same can't be said for the usual suspects this year because of their competition. Based on the fights scheduled, I think only Hopkins, Ward, Froch, then maybe the Klits are the only ones having and will continue to have a strong 2011.
