Comments Thread For: Lucian Bute Expects a Tough Fight From Glen Johnson

He couldn't secure Mikkel Kessler or Kelly Pavlik, but IBF super middleweight champion Lucian Bute was able to bag former champion Glen Johnson for a scheduled defense on November 5th, possibly in Quebec City. Bute (29-0, 24 KOs) and his entourage are relieved that InterBox was able to finalize a deal for a November opponent. Bute knows Johnson (51-15-2, 35 KOs) very well, because the two of them had sparred with each other several times.

Although Bute may win I can't pick against the Road Warrior. Finally Bute stepping his game up, took long enough. War Johnson!!!!

He got beat but it was hardly one sided (even though MD was harsh on Froch). Johnson proved he can still **** and take some decent shots. That alone make him a credible opponent for Bute. Will Bute stand up to the shots Froch took?

Bute needs to build this up after Johnson's last pathetic loss...and will lose this by TKO...time to retire Glen

Bute wins this fight easily. What will be tough is to knock him out.

Looks like Bute is going to step it up from here on. I think he will do well against the upper level opponents of 168.
