Comments Thread For: Cesar Seda Focused on Return, Another Title Run

Cesar Seda is confident that after his return on Aug. 19 in Ponce, his handlers will secure him another title shot at 115 pounds and does not rule out a rematch with Argentine champion Omar Narvaez, the reigning king of the WBO, who dealt the Puerto Rican boxer his first loss as a pro a few months ago.

Narvaez is too skilled for Seda he has better chance with Rojas or Singwancha. I saw that fight and Narvaez clearly won he was landing the cleaner shots and was actually putting on a good fight. Not to discredit Seda but he looked slow in that fight and was just trying to land a lucky punch. Any good boxer with good movement will give him problems. If Barthelemy follows the blueprint he could upset Seda as well.

Lol Narvaez isnt protected but why fight Seda somewhere else when your the champion? And you will most likely generate the most cash in your area. Just like Lopez fighting out of PR or Bute/Pascal fighting out of Canada. You gotta go with what makes the most sense money wise this is a business after all.

Seda is a future champion, IMO, but he should just accept that he was outboxed by Narvaez and would have lost whether the fight was in Thailand or Mexico or England or Puerto Rico. Narvaez has always been an underrated fighter and there is no shame in giving a good effort and losing to him. Seda will learn from the experience.

NO, Nevarez won't KO Seda. Now, I know the Seda team quite well and I have followed him since his amateur days. His father knows damn well that he STRUGGLES to make that weight. He needs to jump up to the 118Lb weight division and won't last too long there as well. He's naturally filling out. One of his team already mentioned that in actuallity Sada will not fight at the 115Lb division again but added that Seda's fathers is still foolishly reluctant to make the move to the bantams. The kid really is talented but it's time to let the reality kick in and and time to realize that he still aint as good ashe or his father believe he is. The jump in level of competition was too much for him. He has the tools to win a title but it won't be with his present attitude nor at 115Lbs.
