Rigoberto "Espanol" Alvarez (27-3, 20KOs) is in great shape, as he continues to train in the capital of Jalisco, Mexico for a September clash in Australia with former champion Anthony "The Man" Mundine (42-4, 25KOs). The bout will have the WBA's interim junior middleweight title at stake. The winner will be positioned a for a shot at the WBA's regular champion Austin Trout. Miguel Cotto is the WBA's "super champion" at 154-pounds.

Alvarez has a good chance. Mundine isn't a 154 lb.er and may leave his fight in the gym. I hope I don't see any scale tricks, such as; Alvarez will come in light, say 150, while Mundine comes in at 154 (158 or more actually) and the promoter blames Alvarez for overtraining. I've seen it before.

Damn, that's a dark gym. It looks more like a night club.
