Comments Thread For: Brandon Rios Talks Morales-Matthysse, Bradley Stripped

At the moment WBA lightweight champion Brandon Rios is one of the hottest names in the sport. The Oxnard, California-based fighter is coming off of a scintillating 3rd round TKO over Urbano Antillon last month that only further heightened his appeal and people are dying to see what his next move is.

It's a disgrace to the sport that Bradley was striped. It made no sense what so ever to strip him. He just fought the number 3 guy 6 months ago and the candidates to fight him later are very good opponents to. Just because he isn't fighting Khan, doesn't mean he should be stripped especially when there are many other opponents out there and to award the belt to much lesser fighters like Lucas and Morales is even more horrific. It isn't the WBC's job to dictate fights.

Bradley got what he deserved. 7 months not defended and likely another 7 months before he could defend it. He has admited he will wait for a pacman/mayweather fight which would be at 147lbs.

i dont know why people get upset, bradley himself already said he probably won't fight this year, thats a lot,i believe he's a champion in recess,so he has the opportunity to fight the winner of morales/mathysse,if it's morales he'll make a lot of money but he's waiting for pac or mayweather,i don't see anything wrong with his belt being taken away, like i said he already said he isn't fighting this year

The WBC gives Mexicans belts the same way the WBO gives Puerto Ricans belts. Boxing first and foremost is a business, and as far as that, Mexicans and Puerto Ricans just sell more, than African Americans in boxing, which is why the WBC and WBO do shaddy things.
