  • Comments Thread For: Vitali Continues Adamek Camp in Ukraine With Sdunek

Apparently, WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko did not return to his training camp in Austria, as many outlets reported. On Tuesday the boxer was still present in Kiev, which is the capital of Ukraine. A few days ago Klitschko briefly broke his camp to take a trip to Kiev after Ukrainian opposition leader Yulia Tymoshenko was arressted. Klitschko is the leader of the UDAR (or “punch” in English) opposition party.

"The release of Yulia Tymoshenko from custody could be the first step toward restoring stability in the country and the trust of the international community," Klitschko said at a press conference in Kyiv on August 9.

"If it's necessary to stand bail for this fragile woman, I am ready to do it," Klitschko cited his address to the head of state.

When asked when he intends to return to Austria to resume his interrupted preparations for his upcoming boxing match against Pole Tomasz Adamek, Klitschko said that if necessary, he would be able to continue these preparations in Ukraine.

LMAO... you know what I smell>>> wishful thinking... this ain't no Lennox Lewis who was in shape 2 out of every 3 fights.... vitali doesn't have to train at all & still come into the fight at his normal fighting weight. Vitali treats every fighter the same way as if they got the nerve to step to him.. everyone gets the same beatdown.. no favoritism here.. in that regard he's like a programmed.. 'robot' but self programmed at that.. i caN't wait till he utterly destroys this pretend heavyweight with a lightheavy mentality.

I don't think so ... Vitali is always in great shape and it's not like he left the training camp for a long time. Yeah, his father died and he cares for his country, but he's a warrior and he has proved it. I'm pretty sure that Vitali will be at 100% for the fight with Adamek.

Even if he doesnt gain weight it doesnt mean hes always in good fighting condition. To be in shape at that age you need a tight training schedule and not manny destactions. Of course Vitali is still verry good but he he has declined already. Adamek is small but hes one of the few HWs today who are disciplined and work verry hard having the right attidude. I think maybe Vitali will have problems with Adameks speed. Vitali is relying on reflexes and thats a problem for an old man, especially against a fast opponent whos in great condition.
