Just finished watching this 1995 FOTY and what a fight it is. Props to Saman the Thai fighter who rallied from two knockdowns and the onslaughts to stop the great Chiquita.

I wonder what caused the cut on Chiquita to gushes blood like that. I don't think its from a punch or does it?

The video doesnt help cause it doesn't have commentary and it cut the breaks. What you guys think? I recommend you to watch the whole fight while you're at it.

It really looks like a cut caused by something else like a headbutt or elbow but I see nothing other than a punch, **** I think Gonzalez connects harder on that exchange where he gets dropped.
Could it had been swelling and the rope cut Chiquita as he tried to get up? He does tangle a little bit there.

Its not the cut but the gushes of blood. It could be from a headbutt which wasnt highlighted cause it happened so fast it their exchanges. Im just saying... cause the vid doesnt have commentary or instant replay.

My thinking now is Saman re-open the cut with a punch which causes the blood to gush. I don't think its the rope. If only they show Chiquita's corner during the breaks maybe I could have known which round he got that cut.
