In the sport of boxing, injuries are part of the game. There have been some very scary-looking injuries in boxing, injuries from which fighters have been able to recover and live on to fight another day...
"A lot of times boxing fans can be heard calling fighters cowards or even quitters. Realize that its easy to speak that way of someone from the comfort of your home. It takes tremendous courage to choose such a violent path as a way to provide for your family. Unfortunately, fighters as the ones mentioned in this article have sadly paid the ultimate prize. Next time you see a fight, please think twice before throwing insults at a fighter... he might have a reason for his actions, a reason that unknowingly to you might have saved his life."
This quote stood out to me. And I believe a lot of boxing fans could learn something from it!
It's the saddest thing obviously and these are the reasons when fighters cheat and bring illegal weapons and substances to the ring should never be allowed into it again. People that support fighters like Shane Mosley and Antonio Margarito are scum bags. As for the fighters themselves, I hope nothing but the worst for them in their futures and hope they burn in hell.
Thanks for the link man. This is the sad truth about boxing.
The closing thoughts are undeniably true. And a lot of post from e-thugs in this forum is a great testament on that.
