New Rule: if you are a fan of the sport you SHOULD actually pay for a fight.

It's understandable that people can't necessarily afford a cable bill in excess of $150 just to have Showtime and HBO for the purpose of watching the big fights; however, when it comes to PPV's you are interested in seeing, it does the sport a disservice to stream the fights for free. There are about 4 PPV's a year, which amounts to about $240. If you aren't capable of splitting that two or three ways among friends over the span of a year, what are you doing on this forum? Your time would be better spent searching for food...

That being said, if you don't like the matches, don't pay for them. Promoters don't deserve to get paid for crappy fights. Let's vote with our dollars people.

As a fan if a fight is worth buying for you and you have the means to do it then you should. The thing I don't understand is people complaining about fights then buying them on PPV. That makes no sense and it's part of the problem.

Almost all the other sports are free on TV why should boxing be different? My father grew up in an era where the biggest fights were on cable live.

Actually, if you would like to see my itunes and Amazon receipts I'd be more than happy to show them to you--I buy music I like.

This is understandable if there is nothing you can do about it.

They can't attract enough advertising revenue dude, otherwise, I'm sure they would. Last time I checked, boxing wasn't a mainstream sport.

I only buy fights when they're worth buying.

                    Huge events or deep cards.

                    Everything else gets streamed.
