    Damn, this is a sad day for boxing. Butch Lewis was a staple in mainstream boxing back in the 70's and 80's, and could still be seen at fights even until his untimely passing. This guy was around for all the big fights dating back to as early as Ali/Fraizer one. He was loved, and will be missed by the black boxing community, and boxing community in general....R.I.P.

      don't you guys remember arum talking **** about butch after the premiere of thrilla in manila on HBO? Arum said something like "these guys dont know what they are talking about, they are lying; Butch Lewis was a peon, a doorman. . . " something along those lines. i swear i remember him saying it. . . Thanks for contributing to boxing, Butch; RIP and vaya con dios
