At the Entertainment Centre in Sydney, Australia, Antonio Tarver (29-6, 20KOs) stopped Danny Green (31-4, 27KOs) within nine rounds to capture the IBO cruiserweight title. Tarver, 42-years-old, dedicated the win to Nick Charles, who recently passed away from cancer. Green's corner stopped the fight after nine rounds of action.

Did anybody actually see the fight? Antonio Tarver's fights are usually pretty boring with a few big shots here and there. I'm glad for him though. I've come to like him much more as a commentator then I ever did as a fighter. He seems so much more down to earth and realistic as a sportscastor.

Btw, in the 2nd picture (I think it's the 2nd) - it looks like Tarver was pushing Green down. Was it a legit knockdown or did Tarver help him to the floor with a shove?

        Well done Tarver.

Stay at CW. Stay away from HW.

        Good for him.

          second and third, same scenerio
that was in rd 1 and it wasn't counted
but in the same round tarver did send green reeling to the ropes which could have easily been scored as a knockdown

Wow, mad props to Tarver. Further evidence of just how badly shot RJJ is. Tarver stops Green in nine, and Jones gets ko'd by Green in one.

I think we can all agree that this is a pretty impressive win for a 42 year old Tarver.
