Are you thick? there are cut stoppages due to headbutts, and their are cut stoppages based on landing effective scoring punches on your opponent and causing damage. Do you not understand that there is a difference between the two?? one is based on landed punches which in the sport of boxing is what you aim to do. The other is either an accident butt or fouls if deliberate. Both cases tarnish the win. In the case of this fight, Lewis pretty much damaged up Vitali's face, and messed up his eye. A doctor had no choice but to that due to serious injury caused by Lewis' work, had to be stopped.

Nothing at all wrong with that IMO. And it's satisfactory enough because punches were landed by Lewis and doing damage, **** sake, nothing out of the ordinary here at all. And nothing to cry about.

yes that point has already been addressed and established so i didn't feel the need to say "TKO due to cuts caused by punch".

I don't care how you play it - when you are losing on the scorecards 4 rounds to 2, and cause a bad cut - that is NOT the same as beating that guy by winning a decision, or actually tko'ing him with punches, or knocking him out.

If lennox had been whipping his ass and vitali was out of the fight, and it was OBVIOUS who the better boxer was, then maybe that would add to your point.

I notice Lewis still drums up a whole lot of interest but Vitali should of been given a rematch im not a klitschko fan but boy he fought his heart out and the shots they took & landed jesus ......Vitali won the crowd that night he DID NOT WANT THE FIGHT TO END

Oh really Lennox? You never fought off the back foot against much shorter men that you outwieghed by 20-30 lbs? Easy to say that now when you are retired and don't have to step up to the plate again. There were plenty of fights where Lennox was content just to win and not even try to destroy the other guy. Now listening to Lennox he was Mike freaking Tyson every fight. Yes he opened up when he fought Vitali, but Vitali was the bigger man so he had no choice, he couldn't do his usual jab and hold routine with Vitali. I am not going to get into what I know would have happened if Vitali hadn't gotten that bad cut, but point is Lennox fought soft for a great part of his career. Now he is the pot calling the kettle black against Wlad here.

LL is much better than Purrity, Sanders and Brwester who all knocked out Wlad, but of course Wlad is much better than Rahman and McCall who KOd LL. It would come down to who lands their big punch first.
