This is not a new scenario in boxing. Many fighters have won this way, and not got flack for it. You are just deluded.
tell me a major fighter who was LOSING on the cards, won by a cut stoppage, and then never granted a rematch? im sure it's happened but lets hear about it. . .

FYI: vitali took the fight on 10 days notice as well. . . he wasn't exactly "preparing" to fight lennox. . . just like lewis wasn't preparing to fight him. if you don't think there is still UNFINISHED BUSINESS in a situation like that - then you don't like boxing.

Why would Lewis have to push for a fight with Wlad lol that’s not how boxing works.

That’s like saying why isn’t Floyd pushing for a fight with Amir Khan, its the guy that is stepping up in comp that has to push the fight not the top dog don’t be so ridiculous.

your ******!! when the cuts are caused by punches that's a legitimate ass whooping. It got to a point where Vitali was in danger of suffering some serious damage and we were only halfway in!!! I mean it's Vitali's fault he got ****ed up so bad. Use some defense!! well he doesn't really have defensive skills, but then risk getting your face sliced apart. Again, Lennox fought his fight, he put enough damage on Vitali to get the officials to end the fight. Perfectly fair, perfectly legit.

It wasn't a cut's stoppage due to head buts. Then you can have something to moan about. But Vitali took punches, big punches, slicing punches and got his face rearranged. That's just too bad! that's boxing!

The ref says it best before the fight, DEFEND YOURSELF AT ALL TIMES!

I know what your saying but its not like Lewis fought on and avoided Vitali Lewis Knew he was fading and wanted to get out of the sport I honestly don’t think his heart was in it at that point in his career after he had already proved himself as great and accumulated millions and millions in the process.

lennox won the vitali fight but he owed him a rematch

when the crowd boos you out of a ring you dont retire like that

unless you dont think you're going to win

lennox was too great a champ to go out like that

he was like fine wine- he got much better in his 30s
