'i think you're not correct' ..... what syntax, remarkable!!i think you're not correct, neither fighter did Klitschko any damage at all. He could have been markes worse, in a school yard scrap when he was 10.
By the way, that picture does not look like a Palimpsest to me, more like an old PAPER book with water damage. What actually is it, I'm interested.
1. Matter of opinion regarding the boxing, I don't hold with this view that Vitali is the 'beast/monster/animal' etc etc some believe he is.
2. My avatar picture is the 'Archimedes Palimpsest' (look it up) this 'palimpsest' happens to be 'an old PAPER book with water damage'
NB: Any surface that has been written on, then sc****d/bleached/Tippexed/painted etc to blank then REwritten is a 'palimpsest' they don't conform to any particular 'look' or materialLast edited by Palimpsest; 07-08-2011, 12:57 PM.Comment

No, you're wrong. Vitali knocked down Juan Carlos Gomez twice, in the 7th and 9th rounds.I always thought Haye stood the best chance against Vitali. Johnson barely threw a punch but marked him up, Solis landed every right he threw, Haye could (if he actually turns up that is) cut Vitali to shreds like Lewis did.
And is Vitali the monstrous puncher he's made out to be?
Every fight he's hand since returning have gone eight rounds or more, I think I'm right in saying the only knockdowns he's scored were against Sosnowski, he wears people down with his size rather than blasting them out
Vitali is a winable fight for Haye if IF he throws some punches
Shannon Briggs says Vitali hit harder than anyone he's ever fought, including Lennox Lewis: "Vitali hit CRAZY hard" he says.
Vitali would destroy Haye.Comment

I'm 'wrong'.... 'WRONG' OH NO!!! Calm down no need for such vehemence. With regards to the Sosnowski knockdowns I did state 'I think I'm right in saying the only knockdowns he's scored were against Sosnowski' The 'I think' surely indicates I was less than certain (or 'wrong' if you prefer) of my facts (all the klits 'fights' are such a mind numbing bore I forget them within minutes of enduring them)
So I stand corrected Vitali scored two knockdowns against a fat little Cruiser (how could I forget such a feat?)
Vitali may indeed beat Haye (if Haye fought like he did last week it's a certainty) but Vitali does not 'destroy' anyone these daysLast edited by Palimpsest; 07-08-2011, 11:11 AM.Comment

As much as I like Vitali, I think that distinction would undoubtedly go to George Chuvalo. Though nowhere near as good a boxer, look up his resume and you'll see his chin is probably unrivalled in the history of all combat sports. And to top it off, he's one of the few guys left from his era who has all his faculties intact.Last edited by Chaos; 07-11-2011, 06:01 AM.Comment
