Haye knows Vitali won't go in there like his bro looking to fight safe and trying to outpoint him. Vitali is a fearsome champ who punishes opponents, and will look to put a hurting on Haye like he's done his list of previous opponents. There should be no doubt, Vitali is the "baddest man on the planet"

Thats why Haye ran for 12 rounds. You can tell in that picture he felt the steel hammer.

So Haye doesnt want a shot at the heavyweight title in his last fight because he has no beef with the champ?

Has everyone who has ever boxed for a title only done so because they had beef with that particular champion? What Haye says makes no snese and he has done himself no favours with that statement.

Vitali is offering him not only a shot at redemption but an immediate shot at the main title when he is coming off a loss and showed great disrespect to both brothers. I think Haye should jump at the chance but the fact that he is talking himself out of it tells us all we need to know.

Interestingly Golden boy felt Vitali would be a better style for Haye than the more athletic quicker younger bro but Haye obviously feels differently. Its a shame.

As anyone with a brain has picked up, Haye supposedly wanted this fight after Wlad ('don't go to the hospital with your brother, come to the post fight press conference').

Haye knows if he beat Vitali, he'd get his rematch without a shadow of a doubt.

Does anyone else feel that Haye never had any intention to fight Vitali, irrespective of whether he won or lost against Wlad? I always thought if he beat Wlad, he would retire to avoid fighting Vitali.

He changed his phrasing throughout the buildup of wanting to be 'unified heavyweight champion' to 'beating the number 1 hw and retiring'.

He sure is the baddest man. Its a shame Vitali has so many Injuries in his career, if he would have stayed healthy he could have capitilised more off his fight against Lewis and would be recognised as the bad mutha ****er he is. He would have legions of fans with his come forward and try to KO style. Not to mention the fact that he loves a war and is not affraid to get hit a few times.

Haye is quite eccentric and stubborn in his ways of thinking. If you fought Vitali, its a good chance Vitali beats you as well, so maybe Vitali would give you a rematch onces hes beat you.

But i think you would have a chance against Vitali, he seems a lot slower. Before the contact was signed you didnt seem so interested in a rematch, but now youve totallly gone the other way.
