¿Why is his trainer putting all the blame on Melligan? & this is only his 3rd loss, his last defeat was 2 years ago..So¿why does his trainer make it seem like he lost to a BUM & that now his carrer is over?.. Even thou Lujan was putting nonstop pressure & didn't stop throwing punches since round 1, I saw Melligan win the first 5 rounds & he was tagging Lujan with hard left's to the face & body, he was doing what he could..Lujan was stunned a couple of times but Melligan's punches didn't seem to have a long lasting effect on Lujan, on the other hand Lujan was also hitting Melligan to the body & face & those seem to have effected Melligan & Lujan was overwhelming Melligan with his nonstop pressure & all that started showing up after the 5 round..Melligan put up a good fight, but that night Lujan was the better man & Melligan's trainer doesn't seem to see that or just doesn't want to accept it..& after Melligan's loss to Rosales he beat 5 guy's in a row & ALL had good records(all 5 fighters have a combined record of 99-7 & 1 draw, Lujan alone had 5 losses & 2 draws) so if after 5 good wins & "Top Rank" didn't sign him, it seems like "Top Rank" wasn't to interested in him from the get go & if beacuse of this loss "Ala"(the company that's promoting him) are gonna let him go just like that, then they have some serious issues..Melligan has skills & they just need to sit down, watch the fight & correct what ever mistakes he did & continue working on trying to better his fight plan..

good wins my ass all of those guys were either unproven or undersized (Adjaho was a career lightweight) so their records hold no water

and what do you want from Top Rank? I mean hell everyone knows they bring along their fighters slowly unless they have someone that can excel quick. Garcia, Rios, Vanes, etc all have had 25+ fights each before stepping up to next levels.

Melligen is just limited IMO no fault in that. He will never be top level, again no fault in that

Melligen got beat fair and square, he faced a better boxer, period. There's no disgrace in that, technically he only had a 50/50 chance to begin with. It's what happens next that shows what he's made of. Give him a rest, see if he wants to go on, and pick up the pieces. That was a hard loss and I don't feel it's fair blaming Melligen for walking into a buzz saw. You might as well blame his trainer for not doing his job and getting him ready.
