Comments Thread For: Vitali: Haye Needs Some Wins For Fight To Happen

WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko doesn't sound like he's going to face David Haye unless the British boxer manages to rebuild himself with an interim-victory or two. Vitali believes there could be problems drawing interest in a possible fight - because of Haye's recent one-sided decision loss to younger brother Wladimir Klitschko last Saturday in Hamburg, Germany. Vitali defends his title against Tomasz Adamek on September 10 in Poland.

To be honest, I don't think David Haye has enough British fans left to give him any financial leverage for a fight with Vitali. Am I wrong?

            you're wrong

ever watched pro wrestling and noticed the guy who was "evil" last week is "good" this week and the imbeciles in the audience are still frothing at the mouth cheering him on?

boxing in the UK is almost identical to pro wrestling, as long as hes saying hell retire theyll forget he exists, but if he somehow manages to sign a rematch all the same drunks will be here saying he "decapitates klitschko"

Will Vitali still be around after Haye has had a couple of fights? Haye only fights twice a year at best.

Dont be like that Vitali and a spoilsport. Are you terrified of haye if his legs heal or something. People would want to see it, to see if you could ko him. Just visualize Haye as lennox lewis re incarnated.
Hayes the closest to LL youll ever get. You know he will retire if he dont get you, so dont mess about now.

adamek is going to lose valiantly to vitali, and haye is so rich he has enough retirement money, infact he should accept any k bro deal to just get the fight to get some pride and respect back.

he needs to go to the US,win them over, gain respect by fighting top 10 fighters and winning in entertaining way.

he needs to improve balance, agressive more, more combinations.

                  fight:
                  arreola
                  chambers
                  povetkin/dimintrenko/helanius?.

then get the fight out of germany,as he can outbox vitali, but needs proper judging.

vitali really is slower and less powerful than before and less dangerous than wlad.

wlad was cautious and gave little for haye to counter, vitali will give plenty for haye to counter, and will be slower with reactions and weaker defense.

even if haye doesnt beat klits or even get another fight with either one again,he can make his mark by fighting 3 times a year for 3 years, fighting all top 10 heavies, beating them all by tko/ko/brutal outboxing/beating.

                  arreola,chambers,povetkin,chageav,dimintrenko,fury ,price or chisora.

if he fought and beat all those while entertaining fans he wouldnt need victiories or belts over klitskos.

Haye would likely take this fight, although I'd imagine he'd want it on similar terms to the Wlad fight (which may not happen).
