Comments Thread For: Vitali Klitschko: Haye is a Bad Actor, Because He's Afraid

WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko is not getting angry over David Haye's recent trash talking and the antics he pulled at the recent open media workout in Hamburg, Germany. Haye faces Vitali's younger brother, Wladimir Klitschko, on Saturday night in a big unification for the WBO, IBO, WBA, IBF titles. Vitali told reporter Alexander Pavlov that "Haye is a bad actor" and he doesn't take any of those antics serious. He says the British fighter is acting out because of fear, and doing so much talking because "he's afraid" and "very, very nervous" about the fight. Vitali predicts a knockout victory for his brother.

Wlad can be beaten, still I don't think it's going to happen, I think the fight is 80-20 in favour of Wlad, or at least 70-30. With Vitali I would say it would be something like 90-10 or 95-5 in favour of Vitali.

Clueless. Too many 'xbox' and 'Fight Night' fans on here. Klitschko has NOT EVEN LOST A ROUND against bigger, faster, better men for 7 years.

The opinions that we ought to listen to are ex-heavyweights of good pedigree.
Lennox Lewis thinks Haye'll lose, Mike Tyson thinks Haye'll lose by KO in 2 rounds.

Expect Haye to get humiliated and fade from view.

I am just really glad this fight has been made. Soon the speculation will be over. My prediction is the fight will end early and most likely Wlad will be the winner. Hay has a punchers chance though.

If Wlad had run up his record in the lighter divisions (118, 136, 140, 147) against fighters of the calibre he's faced in the heavyweight division, he'd be rightfully accused of having ducked the best. Instead he's just fought the best of the weakest division in boxing, except for Haye, Vitali and Adamek. Haye has fought far better fighters in a highly competitive division (CW circa 07-08) and beaten them brutally. He was the unified champion of the cruiserweight division.

That standard puts him in far better shape to fight the likes of Wladimir than does Wlad's record in a historically weak heavyweight division (against Haye). Haye's fought and beaten better competition. Wlad lost against weaker opposition than what Haye presents.

Haye is far better than the guys who've defeat Wladimir. Hits and moves faster than anyone in this division for a long time. That's why Wladimir is going down.

Even in Wladimir's losses to Purritty (a lifetime ago) and Brewster, he was dominating the fights until he punched himself out. Haye has a history of being unable to avoid taking punishment, even from weak opponents like Fragomeni or Mormeck. Fragomeni pushed Haye backwards round after round, hitting him easily with both hands. Even old Ruiz was able to hit Haye at will with his jab.

Fighting guys like Fragomeni and Enzo Mac doesn't even put Haye in the same league as Wladimir.

If Haye had come into the heavyweight division and fought top opponents, he'd be getting respect. Instead, he ducked the whole division for three years, fighting only rarely against non-threatening fighters. If he had beaten Boytsov, Povetkin, and Adamek, he wouldn't have his paper belt, but he'd have respect.
