  • Comments Thread For: Wladimir Explains Why Vitali is Not Fighting David Haye

From his training camp in Austria, WBO/IBO/IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko fully explained the background as to why his older brother, WBC champion Vitali Klitschko, is not facing David Haye on Saturday night in Hamburg. The two sides have been negotiating for nearly two years. In 2009, both brothers had scheduled fight with Haye, and the British champion withdrew from both of those dates. At the end of the day, Haye rejected a possible fight with Vitali, according to Wladimir.

Now Haye will make 10x the amount he would have done, great bit of business by Haye.

Vitali would be too much for Haye. I dont think he believes he can beat Vitali.

Retiring in October will be a ***** move if he beats Wlad.

It'd have been a joke if vitali had fought Haye for his brother instead. Haye Wlad is the fight everyone wanted to see. Some people wanted to see him fight Vitali, but that is mostly because they were sick of Haye at that point.

And I'm pretty sure Haye doesn't wants to fight with Vitali...

Haye has said he was going to retire before his move to HW, before Vitali even came out of retirement. No way is it a ***** move, Vitali can pull out of the Adamek fight and let Wlad take his place.
