In the end Sky pulled the plug on him by cancelling his May date for his proposed fight with either Chagaev or Povetkin and forced him to fight Wlad. Until they did that he had been saying he was happy to retire without ever fighting a Klitschko. Sky weren't having any of that, and made it clear that if he wanted to do that he'd have to retire immediately.

Forced? neither Klitschko is his mandatory.He could've continued fighting mandatories,Haye wanted this fight or it didn't EVER HAVE to happen

Not if he wanted to be paid. He was planning to fight his mandatory in May but Sky refused to screen the fight, or to screen any Haye fight other than against a Klitschko, which meant that if he wanted to be paid he had no choice other than to fight a Klitschko. Sky is his primary paymaster.

There were injuries from Haye and ridiculous contract demands from the Klits that all got in the way, let's not forget.
