In PPV buys Mayweather beats him, the only PPV of Canelo that could beat a Mayweather fight it only could be versus Pacquiao or Chavez Jr in a couple of years if Chavez is still a champ.

Right now Mayweather brings more PPV and cash, but when Canelo becomes a established PPV fighter then yeah he will be a more mainstream name than Mayweather in America.

he should take he fight. It will get his name out to the casual fans here in the US and build towards an eventual showdown with mayweather.

It's still too early for the ginger kid to act like a diva. He hasn’t fought an opponent that hits back.

Well he attracted 1.5Million viewers for his fight against Matthew Hatton and sold 12k tickets in his hometown. So you can't blame him for thinking this way. These are two relatively unknown boxers which he made good numbers with, and we all know it takes two to get good numbers, Canelo is doing these numbers with unknown. Is he a an HBO Pay Per View draw? Not yet.

Cotto-Clottey got 1.8Milliion viewers, Cotto is a big draw in New York, yet on HBO PPV Cotto sells a mere 200-300k homes.

45 wins 31 KOs is no punching power now, and being the #4 JMW is being a stiff. Only in Boxingscene.

One day you mention Canelo as one of the top fighters who "trains in West Coast" the next day you shit on him. Only use him for convenience. If he's fighting stiffs, how is he a top fighter?

BTW how is Pacquiao's punching power any different from Ryan Rhodes punching power when Pacquiao has 58 fights 38 KOs, and Ryan Rhodes has 50 fights, 31 KO's? Not a big difference if you ask me, and Pacquiao is not featherfisted.

This is not a solid post and quite ignorant. high KO's doesn't necessary means you have power.

It's not about how many KO's you have but who you KO. Bradley has respectable power and has little bit of KO's. Floyd is not hard puncher but has respectable power. And, doesn't have that many KO's as Rhodes but P4P he might hit harder than Rhodes.

He's dumb as s**t if he doesn't accept that. An impressive win would set him up to challenge the winner. Not to mention it's on a Mexican holiday, with so many people watching. I mean what if he dismantled Mayorga worse than Cotto and Mosley did? That would be a big boost for him.

I'm sure he'd get a decent payday too. If they can afford to give Floyd 40 million, they can afford to give Canelo a nice chunk too.
