but jay-z is not just throwing this money away to make the fight. he will probably at least break even if the fight does fairly well on PPV. if it breaks a million or so which in all likelihood it will, he will probably make money.

Why? The payout isn't nearly enough considering the odds. Maybe he will actually have a hand in organizing the event, etc...
