How long has Wlad been out of the ring for? Is that long enough for an excuse.
    This went over my head.

He's been out of the ring for 8 months.

    Your point was...

Where you said no one else can.

They have and it will be done again.

Or do you think there was a watershed moment where this can't happen no more is boxing and Floyd will be the last man to achieve such a feat.

I fail to see a quote. Where I say such thing.

I'm not saying Floyd is the GOAT all I'm saying is that he's doing something that's very risky yet people aren't happy he came back to fight real opposition.

Er hello is anyone home? He isnt put on a higher standard, its just hes living off past glories. We dont know how good he is until he gets in the ring, but hes denied everyone the chance to think he isnt all that because he hasnt fought to let someone beat the bejesus out of him.

If people thought he was so good not so many people would have thought SSM lost 5 times had a chance against FLoyd, just because he beat made for him Margarito.

As an opponent Ortiz seems fine as a comeback opponent. Im saying this even though ive never seen him fight, and all i know of him is of his last performance and his loss to Maidana.
He is a name now that is all i know and that is all that counts right now for me, as im of the belief that FLoyd just needs to get back in the ring, against castillo or hatton i dont care.

It was a concious decision and it won't affect him, don't worry so much.

What do you think Floyd has been doing with his time off?

Apart from hassling security guards and looking at his ex's Iphone.

nobody has to tell Floyd to go work out, nobody has to call him and remind him that he has to be at the gym at a certain time, that is just WHAT HE DOES

he works out 3 in the morning while his opponent is probably SLEEP, most of Mayweather's criticism is for what he does outside of the ring and the Criticism he does take in the ring is mostly because of how good he is, of course a fight will be boring when it is one guy doing what ever the hell he wants and the other guy is struggling just to land a clean punch on him

Of course the people who hate him are HOPING that he is Rusty because they want to see him lose SO BAD, but the way he trains, I don't see rust being a factor...maybe if he was one of those guys that didn't work hard and loved to Party and got to Night Clubs while he is training then yeah maybe things would be A LOT DIFFERENT
Good post. Out of green k.

Floyd's skills are the reason he may sometimes look like a cherry picker.

Its relevant because he chose to take 16 months off. He chooses voluntarily to be out of the ring for so long.

You have never seen Victor Ortiz fight?

                  Wow.

But to the thread, Mayweaher is most definitely the favourite and rightfully so, lay off or not.

The fight is legit no question but it's a different class of fighters in there.
Zab has some slickness. But you know what I mean, compared to Ortiz, he's Sweet Pea Whittaker. Ortiz is not the kind of southpaw that Floyd has traditionally had trouble with. Hes predominantly right handed anyway. And hes a come forward fighter with no defence.

Yeah, I get you. Compared to Ortiz I guess you could describe him as slick or 'slicker' than Ortiz.

I wasn't actually aware he was naturally right handed I thought he was left handed?
