Former two division champion Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero was in the running to face WBA junior welterweight champion Amir Khan on July 23 in Las Vegas. A few days ago, Khan finalized an agreement to face IBF champion Zab Judah. Guerrero has a reserved comeback date of August 6th on HBO. One possible opponent being mentioned is WBA interim-junior welterweight champion Marcos Maidana. BoxingScene.com spoke with Guerrero about his inability to secure Khan, and possibly facing Maidana in August.

Stylistic mismatch in Guerrero's favor. Guerrero could stop Maidana late. Morales hurt him. Guerrero's chin? People talk as if it's made of glass. Maidana isn't exactly a one punch ko artist, and isn't in possession of a granite chin. Is it the weight difference that has people saying that? I have a feeling 140 is where Guerrero belongs.
