Comments Thread For: Michael Koncz: Mosley's Corner Should've Stopped Fight

By Michael Marley - Southpaw supremo Manny Pacquiao’s right hand man and uber agent Michael Koncz said late Wednesday night that he was “not aware” that Sugar Shane Mosley had vociferously expressed a desire to quit on his stool during the May 7 lopsided bout in Las Vegas.

“You’re telling me now that Showtime has it on tape, on their microphone so we know it’s accurate,” Koncz told me by phone from Los Angeles. “So we know it happened. But I was not aware of it and neither was Manny.”

Showtime’s nifty Fight Camp 360 program captures the Mosley corner drama with Mosley wanting to exit stage left while determined trainer Naazim Richardson forcefully puts the kibosh on his fighter’s impulse. [Click Here To Read More]

big surprise there. i mean mosley never came to fight in the first place. he just wanted to make it look good on his record by surviving against pac and collect the paycheck.

I have to watch the tape first but still Richardson did the right thing.Mosley was obviously paid to look bad and try to make Manny look good. There was no reason to stop that fight.

Mosley wasn't taking any unnecessary punishment, so why would Naz have stopped the fight?

The only people that would say this are people wanting a TKO stoppage in Manny's favor. Pacquiao won and the fight is over....let's please move on.

there was no reason to stop, sometimes, your conner has to stop you from your ***** instincts...

Mosley could still fight but hes use to losing now so he mentally quit...
