Did David Haye show hints of Jack Dempsey and Pernell Whitaker against Valuev?

Adam Booth said to Haye during the Valuev fight something like "be a combination of Jack Dempsey and Pernell Whitaker"

I know it was one of the few boring fights Haye has been in but did his style in the fight resemble a combo of Dempsey and Whitaker?

His style resembled that of a fighter that talked an awful lot before a fight,but when it came to throwing down,was content to use alot of movement,throw a minimal amount of punches and to avoid engaging in the contest at all costs.I suppose a good comparison would be like a 30's plus version of Hector Camacho,only minus all the clinches.




By the way,if you want to see a fight of Haye's that was even more boring than the one with Valuev,try watching his fight with Ismail Abdoul.

lmao.. take a chill pill, it's what Haye's trainer said.. he said it in-between rounds during the fight.. so trying to imitate those styles must have been a part of the gameplan for that fight..

Yeah his punch output was ridiculously low in that fight but he said he injured his hand in the first few rounds so that could have probably had something to do with it.
