The first defense of Hernan "Tyson" Marquez was formally made official. He will defend his flyweight championship of the World Boxing Association (WBA) on Saturday July 2 at the Multipurpose Center in Hermosillo, Sonora, with Zanfer promoting the event. The event will be broadcast by TV Azteca in Mexico and by Fox Sports in the United States. The opponent has not been set, but there are three possible choices in the running, which includes Romanian boxer Silvio Olteanu (11-5-0, 5 KO's); Filipino Rodel Mayol (28-5-2, 21 KO's) and Nerys Espinoza (29-6-1, 20 KO's) of Nicaragua.

i hope it's mayol...good to see him fighting experienced fighters...donaire,concepcion and maybe mayol

Mayol would make the best fight. Honestly I've never seen Silvio Olteanu. Nerys Espinoza although he has a decent to good punch, he's not very durable.

Mayol's only defect is his damn head. Aside from his sometimes blatant use of his head, Mayol is never on a boring fight.
