Comments Thread For: Adrian Diaconu is Not Discouraged By Dawson Defeat

Light heavyweight Adrian Diaconu is not discouraged by Saturday's twelve round decision loss to Chad Dawson at the Bell Centre in Montreal. Diaconu, a former WBC light heavyweight champion, has lost three of his last four bouts. Chris Ganescu, Diaconu's consultant and adviser, expects his fighter to continue moving forward in the sport of boxing. Gansecu is confident his fighter can put together another good run at 175-pounds.

I wish Adi the best. He's extremely intelligent but he really needs to work more in the ring. He relies too heavily on that "one" punch. Losing to two of the best at 175 isn't the end of the world.

Where are all the people who said Dawson ducked or would lose to this guy?

How can Gansecu say Dawson doesn't have a chin when he's been fighting nothing but punchers and rugged boxers? He took Glen Johnson's best shots, Jean Pascal's best shots, and Diaconu's.

Pascal's and Johsnon's best shots transformed Dawson into a rag doll. He definitely has an under the average chin.

Adrian Diaconu is a shot fighter.

He doesn't fight with the same intensity and aggression as he did a few years ago - he's lost his killer instinct, or maybe he no longer has good stamina.

A few of times he caught and stunned Dawson a bit, but instead of following through like he used to, he stopped punching.
