Before a sellout crowd of 17,560 at Montreal's Bell Centre, 46-year-old Bernard Hopkins made boxing history by becoming the oldest man to win a major world title. Hopkins secured a twelve round unanimous decision over Jean Pascal to win the WBC/IBO light heavyweight titles. Hopkins (52-5-2, 32 KOs) is already mapping out his future opponents. First he is contractually obligated to face former champion Chad Dawson next. After Dawson, Hopkins would love to return to Canada to fight undefeated IBF super middleweight champion Lucian Bute.
