An American referee has been selected for the bantamweight grudge match between the champion of the World Boxing Association (WBA), Panama's Anselmo "Chemito" Moreno (30-1-1, 10KOs), and challenger Lorenzo "Lencho" Parra (31-2-1, 18KOs) of Venezuela. Very experienced referee Raul Caiz has been given the assignment of controlling two boxers who are not beyond the reasonable "stretching of the rules" when it comes to a tough fight in the ring. The bout is going to happen in the champion's backyard on June 17 at the Arena Roberto Duran in Panama.
