BS. I know people were crying that Shane was shot but no one here predicted he would run. GTFO with that BS. Shane running was the most surprising possible outcome of that fight for me (and possibly anyone whose followed Shane's career). Never in a million years would I have imagined Shane "afraid" of mixing it up in fear of getting KO'd. Shane has fought the biggest names in boxing and has never been afraid of mixing it up with anyone till that night.

I swear, people here are so incredibly short-sighted it's frightening. It's almost like some of you don't have the ability to think outside of your little box or personal sphere and see the big picture or envision steps down the line. When I first heard about the CBS/SHOW-Top Rank hookup, my immediate thought was that it could be the first step in bringing boxing back to the networks but of course I had guys like IMDizzy argue that it was just a ploy to sell ONE fight, which makes absolutely no sense seeing as how they were able to do 1 mil+ buys for Margarito which was unpopular with the usual HBO treatment. I knew it was going to be more than about just one useless fight, it was about the sport as a whole.
But the head of CBS is a liar just like Arum, f ight h ype jerk off videos are the wave of the future for the sport.

They chose Shane because he had the biggest name outside of Floydie and he was a "supposed" action fighter. I think what they wanted to avoid above all else was another "Clottey" debacle where the other guy didn't come to fight. Say what you want about Shane before the fight but he was never a guy unwilling to scrap.
His other options were Berto and JMM. One got exposed as a tomato can opener and the other is next. The only fight Pacquiao should be fighting is against Floydie, but Floydie hasn't found his balls yet.Comment

i didnt think Shane would b1tch out like that...i was caught up in the thought that fighters that come to Shane would ignite a war
he fought like a little b1tch...the speed made him hesitate, the KD made him get on his bike
