    WBC junior middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez is sparring hard for his upcoming defense, scheduled for the 18th of June against Ryan Rhodes in Guadalajara, Mexico. Alvarez is currently sparring with middleweight contender Craig McEwan and hard punching WBA "regular" middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin. Alvarez is training in the mountains of Big Bear, California.

                this should be good training for him...taking a good beating in sparring....in readiness for when Rhodesy does the same to him in the main fight

                  Thats very good sparring he has got there. This is a really good fight, I am backing Rhodes for the upset though.

                    I think Rhodes will give Canelo a proper test. We'll find out if really is something special or not.
