i ****s with hopkins now all the sudden - i no longer see him as a racist, but simply a man on a mission. he takes this fight game seriously and passionately - lives his life according to old school principles of pugilism. i don't think he believes in some of the race baiting comments he makes, just part of who he is and i respect that.

You guys buy too much into that racist shi!t.

The green card rant and throwing Tito's flag down on the floor? He apologized for that on TV - right after the fight, in front of Tito and thousands of Puerto Ricans.

The white boy comment when facing Calzaghe? He apologized for that too after the fight. Said it was just for show - although he still didn't like Calzaghe as a person. Nothing wrong with that.

The "Pacquiao never faced a slick, black/Afro American fighter" comment? It was quite obvious he made that comment just to sell his friend, Shane Mosley, into fighting Pacquiao - and it worked. Unfortunately.

I thought Hopkins did enough to beat Pascal but it was close and I had no problem with the fight being called even. I also believe that if Pascal is capable of changing his fight plan the fight will not be as easy for Hopkins as many of you believe. Simply put I believe Pascal fought the wrong fight. I also don't understand all the flack about Bute. I personally believe that he is a much better fighter then many of my fellow forum members seem to think. Bute stays busy and fights the best fighters that have been available since the Super Six has tied up so many of the top ten fighters. So, he has fought fighters in or around the top ten and has looked good in beating them. I just have to ask with all the complaining about who Bute has fought, who else could he have fought?

I said unless it's in the contract that Bhop has to fight Dawson, then he'll vacate the title after he beats Pascal in order to not have to defend it against Dawson. In other words, i'm not taking Bhops word that he'll fight Dawson cause he said he would before and didn't.

If old man Hopkins weasels out of fighting Bad Chad again they need to rip his license for that criminal activity hiding out till Dawson losses and then all of a sudden pops up and wants in the mix cmon

Bute had already signed with Showtime when Hopkins signed with HBO. I guess he wanted the money more than to fight Bute. Bute has 3 fights with Showtime, the third one being against the super 6 winner. Hopkins can fight the winner of that fight but he'll have to wait a bit.

Any other scenario is bull**** and he knows it.

and that is what is interesting about this : Hopkins is not only looking past Pascal, but also looking past Dawson and Bute

Hopkins is just looking too far ahead, and I believe it will blow up in his face, no way he can beat all those guys, sloppy Pascal was tailor made for him, Dawson and Bute are better fighter who can actually box

It's because he doesn't see anything in Dawson he can exploit. I hope Hopkins does what he says. Unless it's already in a contract stating he has to fight Dawson next I see him beating Pascal then vacating just to fight either Bute or the Super 6 winner and try to get another belt in another weight class. Even after the Pascal fight??Dawson look like he was sleeping until the 11 rd..I would wanna see that fight..I love B-Hop and think Dawson is skilled..But I would like to see Froch B-Hop more if I could be honest..
