You like Manny so you like his resume more. When you consider who floyd fought when he moved up vs who manny fought its tough to say manny's resume is better. Floyd moved up so long ago that people forget who he fought, and more importantly, at what point in their career he fought them.

I get what you are saying but they are like ODH, Tyson, Ali. They get coverage on the front page of the paper, not just the sports section.
I'd like to believe that their are other stars on the horizon that could capture the public's imagination.

A 1st ballot HOF is a waste of talent? Seriously!

Maybe...maybe not. A prime Cotto and Marg could have at the very least changed the perception that Floyd doesn't take any risks. A prime Cotto was a problem. A fresh Marg was a handful for all 12 rounds even though limited in many other areas. These names at the very least would have helped Floyd's cause.

I truly believe Shane wanted to beat Manny and silence those who were saying he was done as a top fighter. This was up until he got hit in the 3rd round.

After that, he went into survival mode so he wouldn't get KTFO or battered like Cotto and Margarito.
Respect your point but there is no way Shane tried to win. Funny, he stopped trying to win against floyd in round 3 as well. Its like he thought that punch got him some respect.
