Comments Thread For: Mike Alvarado Stops Ray Narh in Three Rounds

MGM Grand, Las Vegas - Junior welterweight Mike Alvarado (30-0, 22KOs) picked up his biggest win to date with a third round stoppage of Ray Narh (25-2, 21KOs). Alvarado came out winging hard pushes and applied a lot of pressure on Narh. After a round, Alvarado became more patient and started picking his shots. In the third, Alvarado began to **** on Narh's body pretty hard and landed a few quick hooks to the head. Prior to the start of the fourth round, referee Robert Byrd was called over to Narh's corner, where the boxer indicated that he was no longer willing to continue.

If he didn't quit, maybe 2 rounds more...as I said, Alvarado's the sleeper of the 140's...he needs more xposure...

Alvarado needs a title shot, 30 and 0 is enough exposure, especially from what he's done on TV. His time is now.

This is why Bob Arum should have ponied up the cash and paid Soto what he owed him.
THis fight totally ******. Narh quit, for no apparent reason. Not hurt, not cut, just *****ed out.

According to Dan Rafael, Narh had ate something yesterday and he was vomiting, which is why he quit.

I hope they withdraw Narh's pay....he did not earn a dime quitting like he did.
