Comments Thread For: Roger Mayweather: Berto Don't Want No Part of Ortiz

Roger Mayweather, the trainer and uncle of Floyd Mayweather Jr., gives welterweight Andre Berto no shot to avenge his recent loss to Victor Ortiz. The two welterweights traded knockdowns, but Ortiz, who moved up in weight to take the fight - was the bigger and stronger man and his sheer will pushed him through to a twelve round win to capture Berto's WBC title. Mayweather was impressed with Ortiz's performance and doesn't believe Berto wants any part of Ortiz.

Is Roger trying to say that Berto don't want a rematch? Berto should want to get some, get back.

Lol at *******s getting jealous when another fighter gets some praise...it ain't Ortiz' fault your hero/god fights 40 year old men coming off beatdowns, KO losses...or fights where they look like absolute shit...

Roger usually ****s on every active fighter that isn't his nephew, so when he praises one i personally take notice of it.....the question is, will Floyd and Ortiz fight each other???

LOL at a ***** who at any opportunity brings manny's name into a thread about another boxer.
By the way, except for hatton who has floyd fought that that has not come off a recent loss or moved up 2 divisions???

LOL.at *****s being the biggest HATERS in the boxing community.
When are u going to stop making excuses and stop hating on any threat it him.
If it were up 2 you guys, he would be fighting the Sharmba Mitchell's and carlos baldomirs of the world until he retires.

P.s floyd is one of my favorite boxers(in the ring)

My exact thoughts when I read this. I will say I would be excited for the fight if it were to go down

Not sure if I understand the point you are making and that's why I replied to your post. I guess it would have to be Carlos Baldomir, Oscar De La Hoya, Sugar Shane Mosley..... All of them guys were coming off of wins. The only guy Floyd fought that was coming off of a loss was Zab Judah but that fight was already signed before Zab loss to Baldomir. Even Sharmba Mitchell came off a win before he faced Floyd. Now....... what about Pac?

                  Rubbish.

The writer made that interview up.

                  That was not Roger Mayweather.

Roger doesn't watch boxing, and he didn't call Berto, Ortiz, or even King a motherfu**er..... not even once.

He's probably right, I don't think Berto will jump straight back into a rematch.
