  • Comments Thread For: Nate Campbell To Return on Jones-Lebedev Moscow Card

Former unified lightweight champion Nate Campbell (33-8-1, 25KOs) is not going to retire. He plans to fight on the undercard of the big Moscow event featuring a cruiserweight clash between Denis Lebedev (21-1, 16 KOs) and former four division champion Roy Jones Jr. (54-7, 41 KOs). Jones-Lebedev headline sa huge international card, promoted by Vladimir Hryunov, on May 21 at the Dynamo Arena in Krylatskoye. Campbell was last seen on the April 9 Las Vegas undercard to Erik Morales-Marcos Maidana. He lost a ten round decision to up and coming Danny Garcia. Campbell, 39, has been defeated in his last three outings. Hryunov told Alexander Pavlov that Campbell's opponent has not been determined.

Why? Nate looked better than I thought he would against Garcia, but still he's not good enough. What's the point of continuing on just to be a name on other people's resume?

Soupy must "box" in Mother Russia to pay child support

Soupy sucks ass...he is now the Vivian Harris of boxing (an opponent). He has no money so he has to continue to box in order to pay for his 5 kids and 2 grandkids.

If you look up "not winning" in the dictionary, Soupy name and picture is right there.

          Hood Winked?

Sad, Nate Campbell succumbed to the System. He said he would never become just an opponent, but thats exactly what he is now, fighting for the Paycheck$$$. I cant take him serious when i know its the $$$, cause the skill ain't there no more. This is what i hate about the game,.... now he's a hypocrite on top of being "too diminished" to seriously threaten any top tier, up and coming Fighter(s). Whats he gonna say now? what can he say now? he looks foolish after what he initially said, LOL......But i get it, I understand, ...if you can still make a decent living being an "Opponent", then why not? ok Nate, I'll give you that, but my problem is, I don't see him as even a "Gate Keeper" type opponent, but just somone tryna get paid a few more times, not seriously gonna challenge anyone who's considered "Good" or on the way to being considered "Elite". ....Sad

sucks that when he finally got on top (beating Juan Diaz) and won the Lightweight titles, he failed to make weight and got stripped his next fight.

                Nate

                Sad,
Nate's a really nice guy, and broke.

When are all fighters going to realize there are things called savings accounts..... they won,t fight forever.
