Comments Thread For: Early Results From Mexico City: Garcia KOs Geles

The Forum, Mexico City - Ramon Garcia (16-2-1, 9 KOs) stopped Jesus Geles (12-2-1, 5 KOs) in the fourth round of their heated rematch. In February, Geles captured the vacant WBO interim-junior flyweight title with a split decision over Garcia. The first fight took place in Colombia. This time Garcia had the home crowd's support. Garcia put Geles down in the first and finished him off for the full count in the fourth.

IF I'm not mistaken, Raul & Ramón Garcia are the 1st Latin American Twins to win world titles..Props to the both of them..Now they are added to the list of Mexican Bros to become world champions along with the Arredondo, Ruelas, Marquez & Morales Bros...I definitely know the 1st Twins to win world titles were Hall of Famer Khaosai Galaxy & his brother Khaokor Galaxy from Thailand...& they were both World Champions at the same time..

Wrong..Maybe & most likely the 1st Latin American Twins, cause the 1st Twins to win world titles were Hall of Famer Khaosai Galaxy & his brother Khaokor Galaxy from Thailand back in 1988 when Khaosai had the super flyweight WBA title & Khaokor had the Batmweight WBA title..

Are both in the hall of fame? Or just one?

Just 1(Khaosai) he made 19 successful defenses of his world title & ended with a record of 48-1-42KO's & his ONLY defeat came in his 7th fight in a 10 rounder!!

They're not the first set of twins to become champions, but they made history by being the first set of twins to win world title fights on the same night.
