why are people stating the obvious by saying Pac would beat Porter in a real match? Calm down folks, its only sparring people make way too much of a deal of it. People are way too sensitive.

Agreed, they are protected by sparring headgear and 14-18oz sparring gloves.

From what I've seen, they aren't just wearing regular sparring headgear/gloves, they are wearing the top of the line Winning brand gear, known for having the best protection and durability out there.

Hell, the Winning headgear they use is the facebar model, which prevent shots from landing on the face/nose/eyes/chin (well, uppercuts can still hit the chin).

Trust me, I've used almost every boxing brand gear out there in sparring, and nothing rivals Winning in terms of shock absorbing capabilities and protection (headgear and gloves).

It's almost impossible to really hurt/KO your sparring opponent with that equipment. (So I'm not shocked that Khan was able to withstand Manny's best punches in sparring, lol)

No Manny is the only one to wear headgear and his gloves are 10oz while his sparing partner has 16oz , and its CW ,,, Manny trys to simulate his real fights as close as possible .

The same thing happened with Cotto and Gato Figueroa when they where sparring, Gato got the better of him. But if it was real fight Cotto would KO Gato in 5 RD. The same thing with pacman and porter Manny would hurt this kid in 6 or 8 rounds.

When pros spar with Ams(or other pros) they spar to work on things. Not to win.
