    (COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO.) – Forty of the nation’s top boxers moved one step closer to earning a 2011 National Golden Gloves title with a quarterfinal victory on Thursday night at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. Thursday’s victors advanced to the semifinal round, which will be contested on Friday night.

      Wow, I'm surprised Gary A. Russell got eliminated... Unfortunately our teammate Edgar Alvarado got elimnated on the first fight. This is the second straight time he goes to the national golden gloves; he did better last time, though... In reality, just getting there is an achievement of its own. Good luck to the remaining fighters.

        The guy he lost to Tramaine Williams is a pretty good fighter in his own right...he beat Russell back in 09 as well...he's a past PAL Champ

          All these guys at 114 and 123 are lucky my son dislocated his shoulder cause he destroys all of them at 114 and 123. Hector Luna can be viewed on you tube he has beaten most of these guys in the past. Raushee Warren is also lucky my son got injured. He hits like a 132 pounder or 141. I know I held the focus pads for many kids

              At 141 tonight Cristino Ceballo will fight Michael Reed...I think whoever wins that fight will win the 141 pound weightclass...George Rincon fights Robert Easter Jr in the other matchup...
