    (COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO.) – A squad of eight U.S. boxers will compete for a berth in the 2011 Pan American Games at the second Pan American Games qualifying tournament, May 1-6, in Quito, Ecuador. The team of five male and three female athletes will face off with nations from north, central and south America at the international tournament in Ecuador.

    Cue all the Europeans coming in here and calling them bums in the making. Since the Olympics is just a hair shy of a year away does anyone know who are the frontrunners to make the U.S. team?

      Hmm...didn't know there was more than one qualifier...

      USA did horrible in the first...

      Christina Cruz and Pedro Sosa are good fighters (Cruz is highly ranked, 5 time Golden Glove winner...and Sosa won the PALS) but I don't know how they would do internationally...
