Promoter Rogelio Espiņo of Panama extended a proposal to Anselmo 'Chemito' Moreno to defend his WBA bantamweight crown against Venezuelan Lorenzo 'Lencho' Parra on June 18 in Panama. This fight suffered several postponements since the start of the year. The promoter is contacting Parra to see if he's physically capable of taking the fight. If the boxer is unable to fight, then Espino will look for another rated opponent at 118-pounds.

Saying making a $100K is good because Moreno would be taxed in the U.S. is not necessarily true, it depends on where the fight is staged. Too bad Moreno got screwed over and now he will never get the exposure he needs here in the U.S. to become a top bantamweight challenger...
